My art, across all mediums.
Painting & drawing were two activities that helped me in many ways — from discovering myself, connecting to others, & being able to express myself.
As I grew older, I discovered that art exists in completely different ways, and I could be so creative in everything I did.
The photos I took began as pictures to capture moments, but soon became a completely new way of identity.
“You Need to Go,” A collection.
This project is one that I hold very close to myself. Three friends, three separate countries, three different lifestyles. On paper, it really does not make any sense that we have played such integral parts of each others lives. We always joke about this — how did an American, Norwegian, and British girl all find each other and build such a strong relationship, all while never being in the same room, let alone the same continent?
This series is dedicated to two of the most influential people in my life. Against all odds, we are three best friends, and they have each showed me what true friendship looks like, despite us being so different. But when you really look at us, we aren’t that different. Millie and Eva, you have saved me and shaped me in many more ways than you know.
“You Need to Go” is a collection of film photos I have taken throughout my travels, collaged in ways that tell a story of my trip. I encourage everyone to take that flight, that train, that trip; because we need to remind ourselves that we need to get out of our comfort zones and experience these moments before it’s too late.
